About the event
The Buffalo County Historical Society presents “That’s River Lost!” Soundings of the Upper Mississippi. Join us on Tuesday, December 2nd, to celebrate the beginning of the Society’s 45th year. Michael Wm. Doyle, Ph.D., the Society’s first Director, will discuss this important oral history project he helped create in 1981. This will be a fun and informative audio-visual presentation! Hear from the people who worked on the River, many from Alma and Fountain City!
