We are partnering with Wings Over Alma and River Valley Raptors to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day Saturday, May 11! We’ve got a lot planned, so join us for all or any portion of our activities for the day!
Here’s the schedule:
1-2pm @ Wings over Alma:
Start your migration down Main Street by stopping in at Wings Over Alma where you will hear a presentation about bluejays.
2-4pm @ Wings over Alma:
Meet visual artists, Kira & Greyley Sabin. They are currently best known for their entries to the duck stamp competition. They will be have their work on display and be present for an artist reception from 2-4pm. They are seriously cool people with some seriously cool artwork. Come say hi! Check out their work here:
5-6pm @ Wings over Alma:
It’s a live bird presentation by River Valley Raptors, who will be bringing an owl, a hawk and a falcon! This free one hour presentation will be one to remember.
7-9pm @ Big River Theatre
End your evening at Big River Theatre by watching “Winged Migration” – a documentary that follows several species of birds over the course of four years! FREE ENTRY (& donations highly cherished)
